2001 robot in the apprentice shopTeam 342 utilizes the Bosch Apprentice Training Workshop located at the Robert Bosch Corporation in Charleston, South Carolina. Bosch Apprentices train in the United States Department of Labor Bureau of Apprentice Training certified trades of Toolmaker, Industrial Machine Systems Technician, and Electrician. Team 342's Youth-Apprentice program for FIRST robotics works in the learning environment and workshop. Replicas of a 1886 Benz and 1897 Ford QuadricycleBosch Charleston Apprentices build a team project as part of their apprentice training. In the past, Bosch apprentices have built replicas of an 1886 Benz, 1897 Ford Quadricycle, 1903 Wright Flyer, 1863 Confederate Submarine, Apollo 8 Command Module, and the Mercury "Friendship 7" space capsule.
