1.
Learn new skills in 3D animation: storyboarding, modeling,
texture mapping, key framing, lighting, cameras and video
editing.
2.
Apply our new skills to win the Autodesk Award for
Visualization, given the best 30 second animation
judged in 3 key areas: |

| Steps |

Review the rules.
-
Attend
animation workshops 3 times a week to learn 3DS Max
software.

Discuss
various concepts; throw out logical suggestions; keep
crazy ideas.

Sketch
out storyboard.

Start
creating 3D models (wire frame meshes).

Import
some 3D models from Design Team files

Add
colors & texture maps to the models.
-
Create
4 key scenes: wall-o-totes, running/crashing robot,
picking up totes & tall stack.

Check
deadline. Hurry up!

Animate
models & cameras using key frames & paths.

Do
check renders of individual scenes at low resolution
(320 x 240)
-
Adjust
as necessary, then render at high-resolution (640
x 480 resolution, 30 frames per second).

Write,
record narration and background music
-
Assemble the scenes, narration, music and titling
in Pinnacle Studio SE.

Create
low-resolution video. Review. Make adjustments. Repeat
as necessary

Create
high-resolution video. Burn to CD.

FedEx
to Autodesk. Track package on FedEx's web site.
